Bulking on Intermittent Fasting

Now this is the question i was asking when i reached my 4th month on weight training, i came across, like you, some guys on youtube talking about only eating for 8 hours and they looked lean and buff, and i thought "yeah if im going to speed up my results im going to do exactly what these guys are doing".

TAKE IT SLOW, as beginners we are trying to get BIG and SWOLLEN, what fat are we trying to burn of when we don't have any?

We're BEGINNERS!! this is one of the biggest mistakes i talk about a lot, as beginners we psychologically jump on the advise from the already "buff" guys who are going to tell you what works for them NOW and not what WORKED.

Simply put intermittent fasting and bulking do not go together, as through my experience i reached my 3rd month weighing 160lbs and i believed in trying out the intermittent fasting, the advise that i got was to eat my surplus of 3500 - 4000 calories within my "eating window" and it will be exactly the same as if i was bulking, GREAT news right? at the end of my 4th month i lost about 5lbs and let me tell you as a beginner it was not worth it!!

I WANT TO GAIN MUSCLE MASS RIGHT NOW AND NOT LEAN MUSCLE


So, safe to say i looked lean and that did prove that intermittent fasting DOES work, but as a beginner we don't want to look lean we want to look big, bad and strong so STAY AWAY from this fasting lifestyle UNTIL you are big and swollen and want to get rid of the body fat that you've accumulated.

When it comes to bulking, eat your 4 meals a day and 100% i cannot stress to you how important it is to have a good whey protein, as a lot of us are not FANS of massive consumption of food, yes we do want to get big but we have jobs, lives and households to run, and a good whey protein shake supplement will definitely add to your bulk in both calories and protein.

There are literally thousands of whey proteins out there, truthfully it don't matter which one you consume, but to be on the safe side go with the most popular brand that fits your budget, and to be really on the safe side go all NATURAL whey as these whey's do not add the additives and other compounds that may be harmful to your stomach, however they are more costly  Whatever your budget is and if you are bulking whey protein 100% has to be on your bulking diet as it is like a whole extra meal but in liquid form, and taking 2 scoops twice a day will definitely bump up your caloric intake beyond your surplus.


For those not aware of intermittent fasting, it is where everyday you have a 6-10 hour peroid known as the "eating window" where you eat all your food and shakes then for the next 14-18 hours you dont eat nothing at all until your next "eating window" which will be the next day.

So today i start eating at 1pm i stop at 7pm then i wont consume nothing but water until the next day at 1pm and i do it all again.

You may be thinking if ive gone insane like shaun T on Insanity, well actaully it is proven that that this lifestyle improves your metabolism, meaning you burn more fat, also you store more glycogen this way, further you increase your HGH production by over 1500-2500%...WOW

Furthermore, to get really scientific with this, back in our ancestral era when we we're supposedly in our prime ape stage, the reason why they where able to hunt down huge mammoths and kill of saber cats was because during most hours they would eat nothing but herbs because hunting was not easily done and was also unsuccessful,  but when the men would hunt and succeed they would spend hours consuming the whole mammal and eat every part, then there would be a long time till their next big meal, this was very similar to what we call intermittent fasting today and gives us and idea of how they survived back in those dangerous times.
