Getting Bored of Working Out? Some Tips to get You Back on Track


We've all been there, and if you haven't, then most likely you have found this page because you just had a case of boredom in the gym or at your home.

We get told all the time by the youtube fitness pro's that we should never give up, we should keep going and not stop, so that we reach our in-visioned goals, but they never mention what happens when we get bored of doing the same thing in and out everyday.

It's TRUE, working out those abs, biceps and quads is boring and most of us stay loyal to that commitment, to keep going, only because we know what we want to look like, and we keep heading straight for that direction, but there are also actual crazed gym addicts who will never have this problem of commitment issues.

SO WHATS THE SYMPTOMS?

Taking more than one day off? Doing less in the workout? Other stress factors taking your time making you promise to yourself that you will do your session first thing in the morning tomorrow? To be HONEST, these are not signs of boredom, these are indeed
signs that you need a BREAK!

YES! like the old saying goes, too much of something, is not good for you, and this goes for the weight training. The reason's why your rest days have turned into rest week's is because your body has shut down on you MENTALLY. Not only are you sick and tired of eating the same food, that has even caused you to skip meals, but your sick and tired of the same old routine.

SOLUTIONS?

Very easy to solve this problem and that's to do what your body is telling you, which is to take a BREAK, for how long? the recommendation is usually 1 week, however why i would recommend an extra week is to allow you to open up your options and seek more choices, i'm talking about adding new 'food routines' and even looking at new work out routines. Moreover, we hardly take any natural breaks so taking a week off, is not entirely such a bad thing, but going for 2 weeks will be like body heaven for those repairing muscles.

In this rest period, Look at which muscles you have been neglecting, and take some time out to incorporate them into your routine, when you get back in the weight room.

DO NOT be sacred to take time off, as it will mentally give you some space and some needed TLC, keep on eating beyond your surplus (depending on your cycle) and PLEASE remember, you will not suddenly lose all your gains, and look forward to that exciting feeling when your rest is over and its time to lift.
